After completing this course participants will know how to identify candidates for AAC, the features of symbol systems used in aided and unaided communication systems and the benefits and challenges of high-tech and low-tech solutions. The course also explains how the health care team evaluates the AAC device user’s needs and the role of documentation in obtaining funding for the system that best suits each individual patient. |
