One of the founding partners of Care2Learn, Laura is clinically trained in social work, with a Masters in Social Work from Florida State University. She worked for many years in rehabilitation and hospice before moving into management. She has directed case management, social service, and rehabilitation in outpatient, skilled nursing, and inpatient hospital settings. She has served as a vice president of operations for national rehabilitation providers, training rehab managers in financial, clinical, and operational management. She has served as a board member of the National Head Injury Foundation/Florida Association, and was on the start-up committee for the Hospice of Winter Park during the pre-Medicare hospice movement. Her experiences managing therapists in skilled nursing facilities during the implementation of PPS led her to the founding of Care2Learn. "Let's create something positive out of this" is her ongoing response to any challenge.
